Rapeseed Field, Cooley

In April, the fields around Cooley glow with rapeseed, bright swathes of yellow stretching across the landscape like sunshine stored up for miles. I wanted to capture the energy and contrast of that moment, when the colour seems almost unreal against the fresh green growth.

This two-layered screen print features cadmium yellow and green.

Each print is hand-pulled and float mounted on warm-toned Fabriano paper to enhance the layered colour and fine detail. A limited edition of 200. Prints are unframed, shipped flat on a mount.
